Getting emotional - five years on ILF

I know it's a bit overdue, but I overate and I'm wined up, so I'm getting emotional and shit
It's been five years since I joined ILF
That's totally crazy to me, not only because you know... I was 18 going at 19 and now I'm 23 going at 24, which is like whoa, but also because it was five years ago when my journey started.
I joined ILF pretty much oblivious about fuzz, my only close experience being playing a black russian Muff I owned for a short while and not loving it. I still remember one of the first reponses to one of my first questions about one of our local fuzzes, a Fuzzhugger AB-synth if it cuts through the band any good. the response was "It cuts like a sith" and if you recognize it, I love you forever
btw in the five years I haven't owned one fuzzhugger pedal. fucking lame. I only got to try one when I started my pedal dealing business

anyway that's the freakiest thing - after the five years, I'm working towards my future and trying to establish myself working with the shit I fell in love HERE. And I guarantee you guys that if I didn't join here (thanks to Seedy inviting me when I was hanging out on ehx.com ugh) I would have never fallen in love with pedals and my life would have been totally different. In many aspects.
And although there were some tiny hiccups on the way, I still love this place. This place and all of you are the nerdy edgy friend I've never had
It's sort of a home for me and I am touched thinking about the fact that I'm trying to make it in the pedal business and keep the passion close because of this place and that this place is my community and my alma mater in a sense.
And like... everytime I meet anyone from the forum it's really special and I feel like I have a very special connection with them. Maz, Mick, Matt, Carsten, Tristan... and Futuresailors just moved to the CZech Rep and I'm hanging around with him for the first time next friday
Here's to five more years. I'm having a blast and I hope to continue having it for a long time
Just wish me luck so my business doesn't fold and grows and allows me to give my attention to stuff I love
PS: BISH don'T even search my oldest posts it's so embarassing and seriously
