I've had it once before, in recent memory/adulthood and this was pretty bad. I do house painting for work and these realtors a I do work for were having a lunch and invited me in for some food. They're Filipino and the food was a combo of stuff made by them and from a local place - fish, shrimp, chicken.
Ate around 1:30, around 6 I wasn't feeling to hot and around 11:30pm I went to the hospital cause I had liquid-shat out all of my fluids and had the worst fucking abdominal craps. Like unbearable. Ended up puking in the trash and sink on my room in the hospital. Severely dehydrated. It was a disaster.
I really want a milkshake but you're not supposed to have diary. I'd like to play guitar but my body hurts and I have a killer headache.
Eat safe.
And I'm considering even more becoming a vegetarian.

Only got food poisoning once and it was from a fancy, Spanish tapas place. Ordered blood sausage because I was feeling adventurous. Two friends tried a little bite. Spent all night between sitting and kneeling at the toilet with the chills. The two friends that tried a little bit said that had upset stomaches that night.

I thought I recall reading that food poisoning came after 24-48 hours and was seldom from the meal guy most recently ate.
Could be wrong though.

Had food poisoning once in Highschool
left my lunch in the car (Ham sando with cheese and mayo)
Ate it anyway later in the day
went to see BB King on a bus from school with a bunch of my friends
On the way home from BB King I got wicked sick
Ran into a gas station
Bathroom was locked
crapped my pants in the store
finally got in the bathroom
threw up on myself repeatedly whilst still crapping pants
had to have a friend of mine go to his house and get me clothes, while I waited naked in the bathroom at the gas station
never told the kids at school what happened (because good reasons)
was sick a few days like that
took better care of my lunch after that point
hope you feel better soon, food poisoning blows

I had food poisoning almost a month ago, pretty much the same experience as you talk about, only I didn't go to the hospital and was fucked up for several days
get better buddy. Not good.
PS: last couple days after I wake up and am up for a couple minutes I get pretty bad stomach pains and cramps. Every day. Second day was the wors as I vomited numerous times and couldn't even sit straight for a while. It goes away either partially or completely after a while (usually before noon). I have no fucking idea what that could be

But since friday the pains have been progressively milder

I've had food poisoning several times actually, seems to be tied to the insane food decisions that I sometimes make.
Worst case of it was a little over a year ago, I was wrecked to the point that I took a few days off of work because I literally could do nothing else but get sick one way or the other
