It's required viewing.

And then we can talk about it.

I'm super excited about it, but probably won't get to see it.

I had the LOWEST expectations when I heard a new one was on the go. Nice to be so totally wrong (by all accounts).

i tried to keep neutral expectations because the hype maschina + human brain workings = recipes for disasters in terms of interpreting things.

i failed, i got excited, and then i watched it... and i fucking LOVED it.

really, it's kind of what a movie SHOULD be, in terms of how characters are treated... there IS real depth (even if people focus on the action set pieces and the insanely long but amazing car chases and guitar guys). it actually kind of is, culturally speaking, an important film! people can say "feminism" or sneer "feminazi" (fuck you), but really, come on. get over yourself dick bag.

and guitar guy. GUITAR GUY. it's like a scene designed for ILF.

I hated it and it appears I'm the only one.

There was no plot, it was poorly made for the budget they had, the character could have been played by literally anyone because of the lack of dialogue, the Max thing was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay fucking played out (I mean, come on, he doesn't even say his name until the end of the movie. So dramatic), and it felt like a 2 1/2 hour car chase to me. I hate fucking car movies!! HATE THEM! Expect Death Proof, that was the shit.

I was so disappointed, I don't even want to really talk about it anymore.

I'm a HUGE Mad Max fan and feel they made this into a cluster fuck of a movie. It could have been so much better and the beginning led you to believe in it, then the chasing started and I got bored. I need a little substance in my movies. I can't help it.

You're not the only one. I thought the first quarter or third or so was rad with tons of promise, and then it got boring and repetitive.

I'm waited for the hype to die down a bit before I saw it. The high stakes this film has is astounding. I've read/watched multiple reviews and have talked about it with friends - so the movies a little soiled.

But honestly, John Wick is the best action film of the past 5 years.

No. I refuse.

Why make a mad max movie after 30 years when they've all been downhill since the first?

Money. That's why. I refuse to pay into such a hollow cash grab.

Same goes for all the remakes/reboots/etc right now. In fact, I hate most movies in general.

EDIT: sorry, I've been dying to grump about this for a while. Usually it's my policy to keep mum on this sort of thing, but you brought it up.

I am gravely disappointed. Again you have made me unleash my dogs of war. Just walk away, and there will be an end to the horror.
