Anyone have one of these? Sound pretty nice.

Yaybahar is an electric-free, totally acoustic instrument designed by Gorkem Sen. The vibrations from the strings are transmitted via the coiled springs to the frame drums. These vibrations are turned into sound by the membranes which echo back and forth on the coiled springs. This results in an unique listening experience with an hypnotic surround sound.

What you hear in this performance is captured in realtime without any additional effects and with no post audio processing.

Reminds me of the Zube Tube I had back in college which I am sure is where he got the inspiration from.

Really is quite the meme. He got the best lift from electron. But for me the best part of the first video is the room he's in. Looks like a wooden tower over the ocean. I am sure that would boost my creativity too.

Thanks for posting the clip. I didn't really dig the Elektron accompaniment though as I feel it was unnecessary. Also, it makes me uncomfortable watching a man dance.

This guy is from Instanbul, so that explains the water in the background.

Here's his Soundcloud page

I would really like to hear what it sounds like in the middle of a thunderstorm, just being manipulated by nature, and some extra rain percussion on top of that....

I don't think anyone else but this one guy has a Yaybahar. I know it is in some competition for the new musical instrument of the year.

I hope that the inventor guy gives build instructions or sells kits.
