I saw on Fuzzhugger the Singing Tree description saying "new improved circuit", or something like that.

I'm keeping my eye out for a ST, but how can I tell if it's OG, or new improved? Serial number?

How big a difference is there and what is it?

hes referencing the 3 knob version as the new one. the older 4 knob version had a tone control which was only a simple passive lo pass filter. i think it sounds better without it, less stuffy. some people do like the version with 4 knobs though too. the old ones were form late 2007 and early 2008, it might be a bit tough to find one around.
