What does this cost where you are from?

Enjoying my pizza at a local mall during lunch,
Overheard two different customers complain about Costs. one also complained that the server was not polite (they were fine to me- you get what you give bish)

I thought the cost of pizza and soda was pretty good considering,

2 Slices even specialty plus a soda for 6.99 Cheese is only 5.99

Seems like a great deal to me,
Place is fast, food is good

Told my wife that I am sure this deal costs more elsewhere.

So what is everyone paying for the 2 slice combo?????

I think the pizzeria (Gianfranco Pizza Rustica) I go to around here (Philly) is like $5 or $6 for the plain cheese deal (more for specialty).

As long as the pizza's good, I don't mind paying a little more.

In the mall? Well I only have a fucking Sbarro's so I'd pay less to go to the emergency room with a fracture fibula without insurance.

There is a cool place called Cvlt Pizza but they serve fresh ass ingredients and local only shit. Probably can get like two big ass slices and some speciality soda shit for like $8-10 bones. They have awesome pizza but it's some weirdo shit. I like that just fine. It's an occasional late night jaunt. Before they were open I saw Weekend Nachos play in the basement of the building. All of the equipment (pa, amps, etc) was hooked to one outlet. That outlet also powered a bunch of shit for the building. live dangerously mother fucker.

My favorite pizza joint I don't buy slices there. I go there once a week and get two 14" pies with two toppings, an order of bread nugs (like dank nugs but made from dough and smothered in garlic butter and parm) and a two liter is a little over $24. So that boils down to like.... $6 for two slices, some soda and BREADSTICKS.

Hmmm, I dunno, I feel like I could get cheaper at some places if you get a lunch special or something (or just total shit pizza), but I guess $6 sounds about right.

Depends.
There's $1 slice places here, so you're looking at $2.50 for two slices and a can.
"Normal" places are like $6-8.

yeah 6 to 8 seems reasonable to me.......

I felt bad for the employees they have no control over price
and the one lady just wanted to stand there and stare at her receipt

In some parts of the world they call those "garlic knots".

Yeah, but can that shit even really be considered "pizza"?

$5.15 for two big slices and a drink at this place Joe's. I go there once a week! Sometimes I get the stuffed slice though.

I get it, by all means check the math and make sure you weren't ripped off.
But step aside before doing so, cease holding up the damn line.

I should point out that it is good pizza
Very good
new york style (what else is there?)

I thought the prices were reasonable.

Also My son age 1.5 flipping loves this pizza, and while I was there (meeting he and my wife for lunch she gave me an early Christmas gift)

Guess what action figure is now guarding my pen cup? :picard:

In Australia you'd be paying somewhere between 7 and 13 (useless) Australian dollars but unfortunately pizza by the slice isn't a huge 'thing'. The cheaper places are generally Turkish/Lebanese so the pizza is a little different but not bad, for NY style you'd be paying way more. I work at a decent Italian pizzeria but we don't sell by the slice, you just pay like $13 for a small pizza if you want that meal size.

Deep dish best dish. Can't really get that by the slice, though. Also the Sicilian Slab-style pizza is delicious.

I think $5-$6 sounds right here. Could go cheaper, could go more expensive.
