So i searched the ILF forums for a minute and didn't see a D&D related thread.
We're all nerds for music, beers and other oddities...so who here is with me on the topic of "D&D rules and I play it!" ?

I can't be the only one!

I've been DMing and playing Table Top games for well over a decade. I've since moved on from D&D, but 3.5 will always have a place in my heart. I now play Burning Wheel mostly, it's a great system for what I wanted to do.

Just got done with my turn as DM with the weekly group.

After a 2 hour fight (I'm a vicious DM), they managed to take down my version of Strahd von Zarovich.

I like 4th edition better than 3.5, Pathfinder about as much as 4th, and I'm dreading 5th.

Kinda started a game, but never finished with some IRC friends ages ago. We did it with some online thing + Hangouts. Had a lot more fun than I thought I would have. Would love to try again eventually and actually get a good amount of play time with it.

I'm out of the loop with rules, but I would re learn for an ILF campaign.

I've been desperately wanting to play D&D, it's been way too long.

I haven't played in so long, it would be hard to find time because I like to binge play.

the best way to play?

I just finished an epic 10-hour session recently. My first campaign group got back together to finish a massive campaign story arc that involved defeating two great wyrm/red dragons.

F*CKING RULED

I have always wanted to try D&D or a similar game, but I feel like I really don't understand how the game works.

Me neither. Aren't there tools for playing over the web? We should do ILF skype D&D! I'm in Australia but I keep such shit hours that it would probably be fine.

I've been thinking of asking for the 5th Edition books when Christmas rolls around. Who knows.
My wife and some other friends all show interest but it may just be feint.

My board-gaming group once begged me to hold a campaign, but I think giving them that much free reign would put me on a murder stand.
