Ok, so I know Halloween is still like 2 months off, but I get in the spirit early. I'm going to start working on my kids costume soon, so I'm starting to get stoked about ghouls and ghosts!
So, In the spirit of Halloween, this thread is dedicated to all things creepy, spooky, strange, wonderous, and weird.
I wanna hear your paranormal experiences, ghost stories, UFO sightings, shit that you don't tell people cause they might think you're nuts.
Also, creepy Wikipedia articles, cause I Fucking love that shit. Let's keep it going till Halloween!
Skeptics welcome. We need some Skullys in here with all the inevitable Mulders.

I'll start us off with an old favorite, the Dyatlov Pass Incident.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyatlov_Pass_incident
May be paranormal, may be natural. Lots of weird stuff though.
Basically, a group of hikers were lost in a place called "The Devil's Pass" (how convenient). When rescuers found them, they were all dead, most of them stripped down. They had serious internal injuries and fractures but no external wounds. They were also reported to be very dark tan, and there was high radiation on their belongings.
The most likely natural cause is an avalanche, since they cut their way out of the tent and ran naked into the woods, like they were in a hurry. But the tans, radiation and extreme injuries point to something weirder.
The official cause of death was by a "compelling natural force"

And Happy Halloween everybody!

Glad to get the spooky spook times going early. Thinking of doing a creepy atmospheric album for Halloween to play and scare trick or treaters that come to my door. Would totally be down with some ILFers contributing creepy sounds to it!

As far as creepy pasta goes it's all about the Goat Man story:

I'm a skeptic when it comes to the paranormal, highly doubt any of it is real but I really hope that it is. I'm a hopeful skeptic.
I did have a few weird experiences when I first moved in to my current home two years ago. First time my roommate and I had gone to bed. I sleep in the basement, he sleeps upstairs so there's a floor between us where no one is. As I'm trying to fall asleep I hear our back door open and close and I hear footsteps walking through the house. I thought that was weird since I would have heard my roommate (Alex) walk down the stairs and go outside for a smoke. In the basement you can hear everything. If people are having a conversing upstairs I can hear it crystal clear so I definitely would have heard footsteps. Weirded out, I grab my sword and creep upstairs and check the back and front door, both are locked and my roommate was in bed so I just went back to sleep thinking I must have drifted off when he walked back upstairs.
The next day I ask him about it and he said he thought it was me doing the same thing. So basically we both heard something come in through the locked door (I would have heard it unlock too, it's loud), walk around and never heard it leave. Was really fucking creepy when we had just moved in.
Another night I was laying in bed and heard this ominous gibberish whispering coming from the laundry room which is connected to my room. I've never heard pipes or anything make that noise before, it was terrifying. Somehow I just felt right back asleep and thought nothing of it until the next day. Still have never heard a noise like that again for the past two years.

Hey, I almost got kidnapped too! When I lived in Arizona, a friend and I were walking along a busy street and a guy in a truck pulled up and said "get in!" And I just said "no thanks!" And he told me my dad sent him, and I didn't believe him so I started running, but of course he was driving, so he could catch up, so I ran the other way. He yelled "God DAMN IT!" and took off.
When I got back to my dad's shop I asked if he had sent someone, and he said no. Then he bought me a huge dinner and a new videogame in celebration of me not getting kidnapped.
Also not paranormal.
However, I dated a girl for a while that lived in an old house downtown. Her uncle used to wake up with tiny scratches all over him, and her grandmother said when she was walking to the car once, a pale man dressed in black with black eyes grabbed her wrist and wouldnt let go. She said his hands were so cold it hurt, and it left bruises on her wrist.
Either that, or she was just nuts and made it up, and gave herself bruises to look like it was true. No telling. She was extremely Christian so I don't know that she would have made it up.
