If they play anything over 60bpm I turn it off.

In all seriousness, I want to hear multiple types of music played in the demo. Show me what it can do with fast runs and tremolo picking. Show me chords up and down the neck. Show me big single note stuff. Let me hear the note decay. Sure, play your blues lick. But then play me a fast and dirty punk riff. A big sleepy doom thing. Some metal arpeggios. Let me hear what it does well and doesn't do well.
And FUCK please let me hear it on bass. Even if its not "meant" for bass. Even for 30 seconds so you can say "see? Sucks on bass."

I can't play lead. Usually if I demo a loop I try and have one bowl of noodles, quick chord run and a part that shows the sustain. Usually covers the reactions of the oscillating fuzzes perfectly. Also, dime'd is an important/essential part of the demos, sans volume.
I have not watched doom demos but there's definitely in between. Jet city was doing well...not sure what happened to that.

The only people I've seen that are into doom are people on the internet who geek out about gear.

I've noticed more hipstery ambient/quirky indie/musique concrete pedal demos gaining popularity...and that said...
-There are no doctors and lawyers pretending they're in doom bands.
-People into doom don't buy a $5000 amplifier that will never once be gigged or used on a record in the owner's lifetime.
-And nobody into doom owns a $40,000 Strat...or buys a $40,000 Strat and hangs it on their study wall...in a shadowbox...to admire while drinking merlot & smoking Cubans in a silk robe.

Pfft, way to generalise there, rusty.....now, back to perusing my humidor and thinking of ways to get rid of this dead call girl.....is it too sick to make the rent boy dig both their shallow graves?
After I've driven them out to the burial site in my Range Rover, of course....maybe I should take the Hummer?
Ah I know, the boat!
Oh yes, and Satansatansatanweeed.

Did we establish that the winner of the auction in question was one Hank WIlliams the Third for a fact? Or were we speculating?
Because, that dude ≠ blooz lawyer.
