I thought we could make this a community effort.

I know how to post YouTube, Soundcloud and Vimeo. Not sure I remember how to post Bandcamp.

If anyone has any suggestions/concerns, please, post 'em in this thread.

We can write up some helpful directions and Tom will sticky 'em.

OK. So I get removing the s in https, but didn't know about the damn & symbol. It really is a pain in my nuts.

If you're not 100% sure you've embedded the video properly, remember the "Preview" button is your friend!

Also, a good way to figure out how anyone has posted something is to simply hit the quote button on their post and look at what they did.

Make sure you hate on YouTube when it gives you shitty youtu.be links.
Like the man said, delete all shit after the ampersand. If it says "feature" in your link you are a bad person (who won't be able to embed stuff either).

I always use the preview!!! I just get frustrated and am like "fuck it! someone will fix the goddamn thing". That has worked, 9 times out of 9.

Bandcamp:
1. Go to the page for a track.
2. Click on the "share/embed" button.
3. Click on "Embed this track" and pick a player layout, it doesn't matter which one
4. Find the number that follows "track=" in the embed code
5. Copy/paste the track ID# and put [bandcamp] [/bandcamp] brackets around the ID#

There's probably an easier way and I haven't figured out if you can do albums but it works.

Yeah, the_carl comes through with a way to post with bandcamp tags.
