what's equally annoying is that when someone posts something on twitter, it gets double posted to facebook, defeating the whole reason I am not on twitter and have no desire to be. That reason being that I don't care what you had for lunch, if you don't want to get out of bed, or whatever random thought you had and thought the whole world should know.

I used twitter for a bit...I liked that I felt like no one was listening. I could just throw any random thought out into space, and sometimes someone would pick up on one. But it's not voyeuristic like Facebook. At the same time, I rarely have anything interesting to say in 140 characters or less, and it discourages real, in-depth discussion.

Twitter was just really boring and self-centered to me.
And it makes me dislike artists I like. Just because I like their songs, I don't want to hear their every thought. I don't want to read their constant stream "witty" thoughts. Some shit was meant to keep in your head, and most of that ends up on Twitter.

You guys have just summed up why I don't do either of those things.
ILF is as social as I get on the internet.
But, as Tom put it, that's because you get real conversation here.
Also, burrito, that's exactly what I said when Twitter first got huge. Who cares?

Wow, I guess I'm the only one here who likes Twitter. Fuck it, I'd even say I love twitter. But I use it mostly to get news, not to hear the 140-character musings of random people. It really is the best way to get news, if you find the right people to follow.
