Dudes, is anyone using Logic Pro 9.1.8 with the new Mac mavericks upgrade?
It's recognizing my interface and recording, but there is no playback audio at all. Everything in there is reading as if it's playing, but there's just no sound...now I recognize that I'm pretty dumb with computers, but I know my way around the program and everything checks out...help?

I'm not super fluent in Logic, but have you gone through the OS level Sound Preferences? Made sure that it's routing the output to where you actually expect and/or want it to be going?

Update: Found out that the Akai I'm using (which is brand new, mind you) does not support Mavericks. Weird.
Apparently, they take months to update their products to major OS changes.
On the bright side, found some guy who did a hardware hack or something to make them compatible, so all is well in recording world again.

I just find it weird that a pretty major company like Akai falls behind with major updates to their new devices and software...

Mac and audio devices and system upgrades are a world of pain.

Just don't until you wait for others to report back etc.

It's one of the reasons I'm not compelled to jump into that ecosystem.

Feels like Akai has shat the bed of late. It seems like ages since they've released anything new, at least in the FX world, and their last line of products were nothing more than overpriced rebranded MIC clones.
