Seriously tho, Gerard is a damn good singer, and I love everything he's been involved with. (The Black Parade is a fucking masterpiece) But hes definitely not the best singer evar. One of the best, but not the best. Matter of opinion yo.

I suppose one must first define "modern day singer" and criteria for eligibility before I deny him access to such a list, but "best damn voice" is an automatic NOPE.
I respect his passion and he has a cool visual art aesthetic.
But that voice and over-the-top whiny vocal style are hopelessly grating to my ear. Unlistenable

The legion of MCR fans really ruined it for me. It was over when I went to a MCR themed wedding and the whole wedding party danced to Helena with straight faces. Done.
