It records a small sample of what you play and then either it makes a continuous smooth drone from that or a stutter. You have a switch to go between the modes. The big knob controls sample size (and thus speed in stutter mode) and the small ones control dry and wet volumes. Pretty nifty box so far. That sounds like a much more useful freeze basically? Definitely interested in that now.

Well, I think it's somehow a matter of taste. There is quite some overlap and the latching mode is less useful than the stutter mode. On the other hand the Freeze sounds much fatter than the Raptio. It's like organ vs flute.

I think I will keep both.

Could you use the latching mode on the freeze at the same time as the stutter on the RAPTIO? Like drone a note and then give it stutter on a momentary switch?
