Sooooo, I'm headed to Texas starting on Thursday next week to see my girlfriend
I'm headed to Houston (ish) first, and then we're going to Austin for the weekend. Peps of Austin, I need places to go, things to see and people to meet!

I'm coming in through Texarkana. Texas takes forever to drive through. I will spend a quarter of my drive time in Texas. probs going through Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas. Gonna sleep/nap in my car to cut down on costs, because fuck paying for hotels. I can't wait to eat Whataburger again! Also, crawfish.

South, Pearland to be exact. It's 45 minutes or so from Galveston.

Indeed it is. Happened in the past couple months. Sonidero used to go in a lot, and he informed me of the bad news.
The Cash America right next door, is awesome for gear though. If you wanna battle the Boutique, Austin Vintage and South Austin Guitars, are both right down the same road (S Lamar) as well.

Don't forget Taco Cabana.

Vintage guitars moved to north austin to a much bigger building. It's on Burnet Rd i think now.

The complex where all those music stores are gone and being turned into apartments. Music Makers got bought by Strait Music and the staff and all their inventory are there now.

But for the op you can check South Congress a lot of little shops and restaurants. End of an Ear if you are a record collector. Torchy's Tacos is always good but a little pricey. Graffiti Park. And that's all I can think of for now.

Went to 6th St. last night. Shit was crazy! Some guy got taken away in an ambulance.

Now, we're heading to a food truck park. SO GOOD.
