I admit it's pretty nuts.
What's really nuts to me is to see how conservative audiences can be when he plays.
Some people get so angry its as if he were committing child abuse or something.

It's cool that the video is out there now.
Our original plan was just to fart around in the studio while testing out a couple of black magic cinema cameras.
The sound is not the best because our recorder died while shooting, of course.
Oy. It never fails that every time I shoot something goes wrong.

Dude, the camera looked great. First thing I thought, actually was oh, hey, not a DSLR trying to film video, but something with actual color depth/range. Super cool spot. We've got a C300 at the studio I work at, but I've been curious about the black magic for a while now.

I love the C300. It's a great Doco camera. The BMCCs we used were just the EF mounted standard version. I really have to say I was impressed by the images it captured even and I didn't struggle with the 4/3 sensor at all. I also think it held up really well in low light. On the flipside the ergonomics are an absolute nightmare. They are unbalanced and unwieldy beasts. But shit, the quality you get for the money is pretty amazing. I am very curious to try out a speedbooster with one. Maybe that point is moot now that the 4K version is out.

Yeah, I thought all the footage looked great. Didn't appear to struggle too much in low light. The price points on them are insane. Hopefully it is a view of things to come, like when between 2000-2004, towards the end of standard def and anyone could afford a pretty robust DV camera set up from Canon or Sony.
So the whole post isn't about the camera, nice work. I dug it. Enjoyed watching it through. Nicely done. Great subject too.
I kind of have this fantasy of shooting a new documentary about effects pedals. It feels like looking at namm, that some of the most innovative thinking in the musical equipment category is in the effects pedal space. There's an old one about Fuzz pedals on amazon prime or netflix. Seems like we could use a new documentary on the subject.

And Tube amps. I would watch the shit out of that.
