I talked to dunwich nick about a 1 into 12'er or 16'er a WHILE ago. he seemed down with the plan but I never gave him the go ahead with cash fronted.
I guess A LOT of rack shit can do this very thing and go for cheap (80s early 90s shit) due to rack crap being dead. maybe look up that stuff?

I think Voodoo Labs makes a big ole amp switcher like that. Not sure though.
And hell yes, multi amp rigs are just about the best thing since single amp rigs. I have a very low wattage home rig, but still run a dual setup because it sounds amazing even at stupid low volumes.

dual amps rule triphonic set ups rule
walls of cabs, amps and wiring nightmares are the best

Yeah, adding to the mix is the shit. I love ground loops!

Whisk I did a quick search for racmounts like you were saying, didn't see much. Right now I'm goin on the prowl for one of those hum killing boxes. I may have a. Faulty bigshot as that's the common denominator with the hum. I know I had all 3 running damn near silent when I cut guitar signal. Thinking I ma have fried something in that thing.

It would be more like:
A is
amp 1
amp 2
amp 3
amp 4
B is
amp 5
So basically 4 connected to the A input and 1 connected to the B

all about the same idea, you need a lot of isolation transformers

Why not use an A/B in to an A/B/C/D? So that the first a/b chooses between A that leads to the 4 way splitter (the A/B/C/D) and B which leads to amp 5?
BTW I can't locate a 4 way splitter but both Morley and Lehle make three way splitters.

Something with 5 isolated outputs is going to be custom no doubt.

Im using a Morley A/B already and it seems to work without odd noise, even if there is a little im ok with it. This rig is never going outside the band room, and i doubt i would record the whole wall at once.
The 5th amp is gonna be just cleans, maybe with some stuff added to either amps loop i can get rid of the 5th amp
But man am i impressed with running multiple amps, and both amps i run have jumpered channels so lots of flexibility is had. I have the Bugera set to more mids, and a ton of lowmids. The Peavey is set to be pretty scooped and can sound decent with cleans but......i usually like a bit of livelyness with my cleans, tuned to B and flatwoundss isnt exactly a recipe for jangly liveness

Soon enough I'm about to go dual amp rig and I doubt I'll ever look back. It just sounds so much more powerful.
