Replacing a Japanese LP copy bridge

I have a Hondo LP copy that I'd like to replace replace the crappy non adjustable bridge they have on this, it absolutely sucks for intonation.

Im primarliy a bassist so im new to six string parts and what not. I need help finding a bridge for it. Are there any direct drop ins? Would a normal Gibson two piece LP type bridge work with minor modifications, like swaping out the saddle piece and adding the stop tail piece. Or am I looking into a all in one bolt on bridge, like a hard tail start or something.

Another concern, the body of the guitar is plywood, makes it amazingly light weight, if I do any drilling to fit the new bridge, I'm going to have to anchor it so it doesn't pull out of tge plywood correct?

Look for a les Paul or SG junior bridge, their identical to what you have but with intonation adjustments. I think I have one just laying around somewhere, I'll look for it. Their usually just called wrap around bridges. The spacing of the posts is wider than for a standard two piece Gibson design so it would take a lot of work to retrofit.

can you precisely measure the distance between the center of the bridge studs?

I would say check the gotoh site for something similar in make and dimensions.

Its probably 3 1\4 like a standard Gibson wrap around, I wasnt very accurate with my measuring.

This might be the one...

And now all this guitar needs is a Dirty Hesher in the bridge...I love the weird Hondo single coil in the neck.
