I'm loving my 73 Orange or120, but it's too loud. What should I do to get the most out of it?

a smaller amount of less efficient and less sensitive speakers. Something with a huge wattage and like a low 90's DB sensitivity would help soak up some of that power and reduce volume at the same settings.

What kind of cab are you using it with? Possibly going down to fewer speakers (so long as you use high enough rated speakers) might cut some of the volume for you.
also what AA said

Suck it up and play it at full volume. Those amps rule because they are loud and sound awesome when cranked. If it's too loud, get something in the 30 watt range and sell me the OR.

I mean Crohny somewhat has a point, those amps are designed and known for their ungodly volume. if you want quieter something like an OR15 or OR50 might be a better choice. That being said they still don't sound as good as a 70's OR120....

Seriously. I hope I don't sound like a dick, which I probably do haha. But that is just the blunt unfuckwithable truth of the matter. I have dreamed about owning that amp. To see a thread like this pretty much disgusts me. Maybe I am bitter because you own one and I don't...

Skip, if you buy an OR120 and don't sell me a Dunwich or I don't own a OR120 myself, I will unfriend you on Facebook and stop following you on Instagram due to the fact every time I comment on something it will be some sort of insult and a photo of me giving you the middle finger. Only because I love you though of course.

HAHAHAHA no worries, I have zero plans of new amps in anywhere near the close or even semi-distant future.
I wanted that OD120, but then I would have been wanting 2 orange cabs to go with it. I'm all ready GAS'n for a black headshell for the NMV to match my new cab... OCD is a bitch.

God, I'm dying for a pics only OR120. Just keep turning it up, man. Shame having that and not using up the power. But if you must I guess an attenuator can work. I rather that than pull tubes, that's only a few dB's difference. Hardly any volume cut.
