Remember the one where Data and the ambivalent looking girl had sex? He's a robot
I think they should have put her in jail....

<Star trek geek> Actually, there was a whole episode where Data sued to be recognized as a sentient being, with all of a human's rights, which definitely includes the right to bump uglies.</star trek geek>

They actually killed her off instead. I like to believe that Tasha Yar had to die because of that unholy act.

I did not see that episode, but I'm still going to comment anyways. Technically, the girl had sex with a vibrator. Who gives a fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess the vibrator is programmed to give a fuck though, artificial emotion or not.

I wonder if Data's dong is purely mechanical or if it's some kind of Terminator 2 almost-real-skin situation. Can he alter its physical properties at will or only through addons and attachments? A modular Datadong?
Datadong...Datadyne...SKYNET...
Is it like fucking an HR Giger creation?
This is important.
And probably already covered in numerous fanfics.

Sup Asimov.
But the next generation is the best generation.

Here's my take on how things went down:
Ryker was always such a fucking douche....
They should have given Picard more air time and told the kid (Will) to fuck right off.... hey asshole.... just because you work on the bridge doesn't mean you need to involve yourself in every goddamn episode.... show more of your milf mother and fuck off down to the fusion reactor..... he's like a kid that works at Subway, but the Subway happens to be near Wall Street..... you're still a "sandwich artist" and can go to hell.....
Oh look at me I'm a Klingon and I'm conflicted about stuff.... better bring up what they would have done on planet Klingon every episode and then be a grump because you have a union job and good benefits.... fuck off Warf..... you and your shitty son......

I love star trek, and next generation's super cool. There are some pretty terrible episodes involving Warf, though. Like the one where he has a kid, and the other one where he and the kid go on some lame cowboy adventure in the holodeck.
The second season's the best season IMO. But if you want some real star trek magic you gotta watch the original series with the updated special effects. It's too cool; the awesome dynamics of the old series characters with special effects that don't look like garbage.
I think Data Dong is going to be my new stage name

I guess I've never really assessed my feelings on the matter, but apparently I don't like ST:TNG
I guess I need to reflect on that one.....

I almost feel like this should go in the confession thread. I hate the original series, honestly. It's just soooooo goddamn cheesy, and I don't mean the effects. It's like a collection of the worst acting performances in the history of acting. Marry that to some of the worst dialog writing ever, and it's a match made in hell. When I watch it, I feel like I'm watching some horrible student-run show on a local public access channel.

I hate to break it to you, bcbc, but I've been watching a bit of TNG on BBC America lately and with the exception of Patrick Stewart's acting (oh, and Whoopi Goldberg too), it doesn't really hold up so well.

Lt. Tasha Yar: What I want now is gentleness. And joy... and love. From you, Data; you are fully functional, aren't you?
Lt. Cmdr. Data: Of course, but...
Lt. Tasha Yar: How fully?
Lt. Cmdr. Data: In every way, of course. I am programed in multiple techniques. A broad variety of pleasuring.
Lt. Tasha Yar: Oh! You jewel, that's exactly what I hoped!
