what an amazing man, and an incredible loss for our world. but what an incredible gift he was in his life! raise a glass to his good work and his life. and carry it on however you can.

Hear! Hear! May the gods bless that man and return his soul to the earth. I don't know what to believe theologically but souls like that make me hope that reincarnation is at least an option.

Glass raised in respect. :success:

No glass to raise, but honored just the same.

another freed dissident who sought reconciliation rather than revenge. perhaps the highest plane of politician there is. much respect to a fallen hero.

But his ideas live on!

And sorry but I just need to add a personal fuck you to David Cameron who hypocritically paid tribute to Mandela's attempts to create a united South Africa while he and the coalition government are doing their very best to widen the gross economic divide that exists in the UK.
