Seriously, let me take this moment to say my heart goes out to you. I'm fortunate enough this year to get to barricade myself in my apartment and not have to deal with the tomfu¢kery. Every time I see a story about people having to be at work Thanksgiving evening so asshats can get a deal it makes me mad.
So, yeah. If you've gotta slog through it, know there's a ton of people out there thinking of you.

I work tomorrow, but I'd much rather work today.

I usually work every fucking holiday, including x-mas. Last year, I had the holidays off for the first time in years. It was only because I took a vacation from work during the winter break from school.

I work for a 24/7 operation, so I get my spells of working all the holidays. But I don't have to deal with customers, and I can't even imagine what that's like this time of year.

Lol, I was in charge of people coming into the store today at walmart. Those people are so unforgiving.

man I'm sorry for ya. I steer well clear of the whole mess. I might order stuff online, probably not. I'm trying to be more conscious of buying stuff from small local craftpeoples. Sometimes you find things that are WAY cooler that way too.

Oh man, I did my time in retail and fast food and have worked my share of Thanksgivings, Black Fridays and Christmases. Sucks hard, G. Keep your head up and you'll get out of that shit soon enough.

I was lucky to miss working most holidays, though I worked New Year's Day at a record store once, which was just silly. A single person came in all day, and that was to ask if they could put up a flyer for a fundraiser.

Definitely thinking of you guys manning the retail barricades. Looks like a lot of carnage already happened between 2 & 4 a.m. Hopefully everyone's had a chance to chill out by now and the worst is over... hopefully....

People don't chill out, they come in angry and nothing we could possibly do would make them happy.

BTW, thanks everyone for the condolences and not adding to the writhing throng of Black Friday shoppers.
