Stripping finish, zip strip hates primer?

So I tried to use some zip-strip to remove the finish on a project guitar, and while it took the paint right off, the primer seems largely unscathed. Do I just need to leave it on for a longer while? Also, it's cold outside and I dunno if that'll affect how it works :idk: ????

Experiences and/or thoughts? I'd much prefer to just yank out the palm sander, but I don't want to piss off my neighbors. Maybe I'll knock on their door this afternoon

Yeah, once you get down to where the primer is bonding directly with the wood, sanding is the only way to go.
