Low sound from flanger and fuzz

I play bass and on my board is a Boss BF-2, perhaps I should have gone for the bass flanger but I never thought that far. Anyhow, I get a low output from the flanger.
Setup is Compressor/Sustainer -> Fuzz -> Flanger -> Reverb -> Equalizer. The Flanger is only really evident when used with the fuzz on (Why is that?) but I want to get a good sound level from without the fuzz sometimes. Tried to put it first in the chain but the sound level remained low. Bass is tuned in C so the tones are perhaps to muddy for the flanger as well?

Also, sometimes (1 or 2 out of 5 times perhaps) when the fuzz has been switched off (compressor and flanger on) and then turned back on, there's low output from that one as well. If I turn it off and on again after that I get the right level of sound. Checked the patch cables but I can't find a problem there. The power is a cheap ebay daisy chain, perhaps that's what causes the problem with the fuzz?

There may be something wrong with your fuzz internally. Like a loose solder joint or something.

As for the other problem, I'd say try a boost after your flanger.

Good call, DarkAx, could be a switch. Main culprit in situations like these.

Thanks for the fast replies Chankgeez and DarkAx!
I put the flanger at the end of the chain at that solved the sound level problem even without a boost pedal afterwards.

Yeah, switch seems like a good guess; Forgot to write that I press it just a little bit without clicking, the fuzz sound wobbles and it hasn't done that before. Had my mind quite set on the cheap daisy chain as the problem.
I'll contact the builder and see if he can take a look at it.

Good that changing pedal placement solved the volume problem. I still think you should put a boost after the flanger.

What fuzz are you using?

A little boost couldn't hurt.

Tyrant fuzz from The Fuzz Shack/Nine of Swords effects. Fits my doom/sludge needs perfectly. :)

Don't think I've heard that one, I'll have to give it a listen. Yeah, get the switch on it checked out.

That's the meathead clone isn't it?

Yeah, it's a Meathead. Very nice fuzz, decently built i'd say :) I'd like it to have the switch between normal and dark, but for the money, it's cool
