Stupid alert!

I oft download music that I purchase on vinyl or is out of print, and more and more when I download from sites like rutracker.org I find the file is a disc image or something, one long track. Is there some kind of creepy program you can use to convert this into individual tracks? I'm not sure what the deal is with this particular process or why people seem to like it so much... but that's me man, I'm old fashioned..... I don't know what to do with these giant ass files and googgggling things like this oft leads to nothing useful.....

:picard: :excellent: :grumpy: :grumpy:

I forgot to mention I'm running Linux via Ubuntu so this is probably the dumbest thread the board has yet to see....

I was going to suggest fb2k, but then I realised you use Linux. I think fb2k runs reasonably well via WINE though, could probably give it a go?

I will give this a shot - wime seems to dislike me greatly, but maybe cuetools might work. I guess I should try the linux forums..... But I hate the Linux forums!! Thank you.
