Anyone here from/visited any of these places in France/Monaco? Where should I eat? I'm going to Switzerland on the 31st, and I'm doing a 4 day trip with my girlfriend through Lyon, Marseille, Nice, and Monaco. We're very into food, so finding some good places to eat is important.

Get the Burger Royale or Le Big Mac at McDonalds. Add extra fromage.

Whatever you do, do not fall for tourist traps. I had the worst bouillabaisse ever in Marseille - the famous place though is Norma's - (problem was it's minimum 2 people to order, and 100 bucks each and my wife won't touch it). Been to Lyon and would totally want to experience Paul Bocuse's restaurant but tres tres cher. But cafes everywhere there have the 'Le Menu,' which is what we here call Table d'hote. And is a bargain. With a split of rose every meal is wonderful.....

I would just try to identify where all the Americans are at and then avoid those places.

Yeah, we want to find some off the grid places. I'll check out Paul Bocuse's and maybe we'll go there.

Ha, we actually did his route through Seattle, and then some.

you don't need 'off the grid' in France mon frère, everything just IS better
go to open air markets and you'll find 5 feet long leeks, black truffles the size of your fist, and animal heads in the charcuterie (they were probably well loved during life too

) Unlike here. Where meat is well beaten.
