Hi guys, I need some help on choice of guitar. What do you think about Fender Telecaster Deluxe Reissue? Is this guitar suitable for noise rock?
Usually I play in clean channels and use overdrive and modulation pedals. Recently I figured out that I need another guitar (I have old japanese LP at the moment) with a sharp but dense sound. I am trying to choose between Jaguar, Telecaster Custom and Telecaster Deluxe but Fender Telecaster Custom RI has slightly insipid sound with overdrive as for me. Any thoughts?

The jag would probably be your best bet, simply because there's more ways to make noise with it (excess string length, vibrato, switching, etc). Using the rhythm circuit
with fuzz can get you into that 'sharp but dense sound' territory. You can't go wrong with any of those three though.

Yes, exactly! It is really interesting which pickups give more extreme feedback for example.

Jaguar with any sort of pickups. Right now I have a Jaguar with a humbucker in the bridge, endless feedback that way. But it also really depends on the pedals that you use. I'm a HUGE fan of P90's and fuzz

Keiji Haino usually played a 70's fender telecaster custom, wrhb's. or a gibson sg, not sure what pups pub probably paf's. also seen some early photos of him with a silvertone 1448.



Takashi Mizutani usually played a gibson sg too

KK NULL played a microphone scraped across the tabletop.....so i guess there's a wide gamut of possibilities.

I think its more important what you do with the signal after leaving the guitar.

Any guitar is fine. Get one that is aesthetically pleasing to you. Duane Denison made cool noise with a Travis Bean.

Yea, really any guitar would work. The note someone made about the Jag having more options is a good one though. Something with a fhole might feedback easier.

Love it! Had one of those pups from a Kay bass that I put onto a pbass at the neck. So beefy...and microphonic.

Since you already have a guitar with humbuckers, I'd go for something with single coils and boost the shit out of the signal. The vibrato on the Jag would add quite a bit of possibilities, too.

Hollows and semi-hollows make tons of noise at higher gain levels....
