2013 - The best year ever?

So, I dunno about y'all, but as far as calendar years go, this year has kicked ass. I've gone through some good (well-needed) personal growth, and I've heard many recounts of similar positivity.
Aaaaaand go.

Right? I cant remember all the awesome shit that has gone down this year but its been pretty excellent. I know we cured aids and cancer and shit. Also GTA V came out.

Had some pretty big ups, some huge downs. Evens out on the whole, and definitely an improvement over 2012. Had some people pretty close to me bemoan how tough it was for them, though.

Yup. I left Utah, lost my virginity, started drinking, and started a PhD program. Things are pretty awesome

Coincidentally, 2013 has by far been my best year ever (so far).
Started a sound design degree even though I thought I wouldn't go to uni, which has been awesome so far, and made some great new friends.
Started the serious band I always wanted to even though I thought it would never happen and am already recording/gigging after 7 months.
Depression has pretty much gone, still don't have a job or girlfriend but MEHER, can't have everything.
Good to see that a lot of other people have had a good year, and for those that haven't- there's still a couple of months left for things to take a positive turn, so I'm sure things will work out!
If someone asked me this a couple of years ago I would have said the exact opposite.

Interesting year... but nothing went so well for me. At least, things has moved a bit.
I guess it was just a teaser for 2014 "think positive".
