I got a new job.

Funny how life requires money and health insurance and shit.
My daughter was diagnosed with a chronic disease that requires injections and bi-weekly doctor's appointments. trying to sell guitar pedals ain't gonna pay those billz yo.
Don't cry for me, this ain't no pity party... I'm lucky she's alive, we have insurance, and everything is as cool as it could be.
I build electronic things... things that make pedals look like toys. I use scopes and meters and other tools that cost more than my car, and build shit that costs more than my house.
It is pretty damn fun. Everyone there is old... a treasure trove of old man knowledge. I will pick brains and come out a better person.
So, if anyone is looking for me, that's where I've been. I'll still build pedals and shit but it will be weekends only. Not that I actually sell any.
I read ILF on lunch break.
How are you.

Hey man - gotta take care of business, and family is the most important business of all.
Glad to hear that you're doing all right. Maybe someday you can use all that old man electronical knowledge you're gaining to build Thee UBERFUZZ!!!!
And hey, if not, ILF will still be here for your lunchtime reading. And hopefully someone will buy your pedals! They sure are purdy...

I think i'm gonna build fingerprints again... plain boxes with simple graphics, vertical layout. everyone asks me for them even though there are clones around, and that's pretty cool. i feel stupid saying no, so i'm gonna offer them again.
my new job rocks. i have to do a lot of SMD reworking which BLOWS MONKEY BALLZ (if this is the wonderful future of electronics, we're all fukked) but consulting with engineers on how to make electronic things is amazing.

Yes, we are, but if you're building Fingerprints again, it may not be so bad.

I feel stupid having paid for the parts to DIY one, then, but I still think this is a very cool development!
