:hello:

!!!
DID NOT KNOW THIS WAS OUT.
I SHALL LISTEN.

The first album was an absolute masterpiece. One of my all time favourites.

I think that i like it. i need some more full listens to the album.

its taking me a bit to get back into Del. His album Eleventh Hour was pretty disappointing for me (it was a Del album released by Def Jux :!!!: ... and it was so... meh :idk: ). I think i just don't like Del on his own beats. Dan The Automator is always a welcomed change!

Del is the king of crushing cheesy beats.

from the rap/hip-hop thread:

Listened to the first couple tracks. I don't even care that it's not going to be as personally magical as 3030 was for my brain, it's SO FUCKING AWESOME to hear Deltron Zero... and Automator.

Why on earth doesn't Dan The Auto get more high profile gigs?

Thanks for the heads up. I've been a fan of Del since the early 90's (the first 2 cd's I ever bought were Das EFX and Del's I wish my brother George were here). I used to see him at the El Cerrito Guitar Center checking out the synths and buying recording gear back when I was too broke to buy things without trying it out a million times. He always seemed like a nice enough guy but I never bothered him. Deltron 3030 is probably my favorite album of his so hopefully this is on par.

Just found out that Juan Alderete will be playing bass for Deltron on the tour that's kicking off this month. Damn!

Fuuuck that's awesome! I'd love to see one of those shows they're doing with the sixteen-piece orchestra..

yeah. some of them talking might've been amusing (joseph gordon-levitt? odd...).
then rage against the machine chimes in. :barf:
damon albarn? ok, guerillaz was pretty brilliant (though i've only heard the first two).
david cross. IMO he shouldn't have been ALLOWED to do anything after mr. show. odenkirk, yeah man keep at it. cross, STFU. please. maybe they're pothead buddies? :idk:

I'm cool with Damon Albarn, his contribution on the last album (time keeps on slipping) was awesome. Plastic Beach by Gorillaz is pretty great too IMO if you haven't heard that yet.

but some of the others... just.... strange...

I dug the skits--they're pretty close in tone to a lot of the ones from 3030.

Also, Damon Alburn does the intro on the original record. "...We were always coming back."
