ebay help

I need help with course of action for an ebay issue. I don't really know what to do fully or what the rules and restrictions are, so if anyone with that knowledge chimed in, that'd be great.

Ordered a package off ebay and it was under 20 dollars. Nothing to complain about other then the package never showed up at my house. Tracking says delivered and it is not at my house. Potentially never made it...potentially stolen off my porch...but I don't know why it'd be delivered without a signature confirmation. I'm beginning to feel hexed because the Fuzzhugger box hasn't turned up since someone sent that to me, but that seems to be the post office's fault.

I'm trying to avoid dealing with them based upon the fuzzhugger experience, so I contacted the seller asking what are the options. My room mate just called USPS because some of his packages said delivered never got here. They gave him the ol' run around.

What can I do here?

Hey fellow (greater) RVA'er! :hello:

Unfortunately since tracking shows it was delivered eBay will take the sellers side and will not force him to refund you. Perhaps he will out of good will but unlikely. Your best bet is to see if you can catch your specific mailman when he's delivering your mail and ask him if he remembers delivering it. The post office staff probably won't be helpful here (especially not if you go to the one downtown across from lowes, god they suck in there.)

My guess is it probably was stolen. :( When I lived in Richmond I always had any packages shipped to my dads house and picked them up later, just for peace of mind.

Yes, that is the worst fuck post office ever...do away with 'em indeed.

I use to live literally next door to where I currently live a few years back and had a bunch of packages delivered there just fine...just as vulnerable. Not sure what's up but I'm going to have stuff sent to work or require signature.

I know where I live at least if you don't pay extra to register the parcel you're screwed if it doesn't show up.
I had that happen with a pedal before, luckily was only out $70. Tracking number said it was delivered but no parcel, most likely lost or delivered to the wrong house.
If the seller doesn't respond at all, or didn't send with signature confirmation after saying that they would, you'd be able to make a claim and get the money back.
Otherwise there isn't really anything you can do.
