Too chickenshit to busk

Got a Pipe Amp and a slew of battery-compatible pedals for the tones. One problem: I'm a nervous, timid, shy pussy who's scared to play for anyone face to face. Help me conquer my fears, and make some extra herb moneys. I'm seriously far nmore concerned with nervousness than I am the legality of busking in my area....Any words of encouragement/discouragement?

 it's easier from the comfort of my music room/4 track. Fun fact: I was even nervous when I did my Youtube vids...I do feel as if I'm on the verge of getting over myself. The urge to do as my favorite blues guys did seems stronger than my urge not to associate with hyooming beans. My first assignment will be to record at the Stairway to Nowhere, which is literally a stairway to no type of structure in my hometown. Baby steps...

I have this problem too, it's really hard to play in front of anyone. I even get chills uploading scraps to Soundcloud. It's bullshit, though.
If yr busking, some people will dig it, and that'll be super sweet. Those people will make it all worthwhile. Many will walk on by, there are many people who don't really care about music. Some people might not dig it, but whatever. Unless they're true assholes I doubt they'd show it.
I like buskers even if what they're playing isn't really my thing, it's nice to hear music when yr out.

That's exactly what I was gonna suggest. Get yourself used to playing in public. Start out somewhere where there are relatively few people. Gradually move incrementally closer to the people. End of story.

As sound a plan as I've ever heard! I've really gotta take up drinking. Y'all make it sound so fun. I generally smoke, hence the people-dodging.

Wear a gas mask.
Turn your back to people.
Take your pants off.

You've got the riffs.
You've got the soul.
You've got the fuzz.
You've got the powAH!

Fr'realz, though, the fear is good. Don't be afraid of the fear. I ran out crying after my first live performance, and when I realized that nobody had heard all of the fuckups I'd played (or cared), it got a little better. But again, the fear is good. Just don't back down from it, ride it out. Sure, wear a mask if you have to, a bandanna and wide-brimmed hat... just do it, and each time you do, it'll get a little easier.

I always read this as "too chickenshit to bust."

Which, if you think about it, would be essentially the same problem.

Set up a tent and play inside it, put the amp and collection apparatus on the outside, leave the tent door open.

Ive found that, personally, wearing a mask helps me play in front of people. Im mostly scared of be judged, but behind a mask I could be anyone. I am just a guy in a mask and fuck you.
