I owned one for a few months and loved it. It does both the envelope filter and the phaser well... but neither effect is perfect. But had I not taken my pedalboard in a new direction I would probably still own it. IMO, listen to all of the demo vids you can find because they are pretty much spot on with what kinds of sounds you can get out of the pedal.

I used to have an EP-1.

I liked it, but (obviously) not well enough to keep it.

Well, if you're looking for something similar to the Bi-Phase, you're barking up the wrong tree.

The EP-1/EP-2 doesn't really sound anything like the Bi-Phase.

What specifically about the Bi-Phase do you want out of a phaser?

I just listened to those sound samples. That probably sounds more like a real Bi-Phase than anything else I've ever heard.

the price for the piphase might be high, but it's a better choice than buying an EP2 and losing your money due to resale

i've only had an EP1... and i'd take the EP2 immediatelly... but a) it sounds nothing like the biphase and b) it's not the most... versatile pedal?

what i'm saying is it has character, but it's not for everyone and everything... the Envelope filter IS the best i've ever played, so fat and natural sounding... the Phaser is an interesting, very original sound, also very fat and not as chewy as other phaser's i've played... lots of times it makes you think it doesn't even sound like a phaser
