Is it safe to leave your pedalboard plugged in?

Will it do any harm? I'm not leaving them on.
That's exactly what I do tooskullservant wrote:Mine is always plugged in, I just turn the surge protector off when I'm not home
So you only expect to get unexpected surges whilst home and therefore protected???hollowhero wrote:That's exactly what I do tooskullservant wrote:Mine is always plugged in, I just turn the surge protector off when I'm not home

Turning it off breaks the connection between the outlet and my pedals. Am I missing somethingsonidero wrote:So you only expect to get unexpected surges whilst home and therefore protected???hollowhero wrote:That's exactly what I do tooskullservant wrote:Mine is always plugged in, I just turn the surge protector off when I'm not home
You can leave it plugged in but I would advise to leave the serge on too...

if you do, the pedalboard gnomes come out while you are sleeping and molest you.hazelwould wrote:Will it do any harm?
Hmm... What's that?oldangelmidnight wrote:I use a smart power strip that is set up to switch everything on when I turn on my amp.
They're designed to be more "green." So several outlets are usually tied to whether or not a separate output is on. Like if you turn on your tv suddenly your blu-ray, DVD, VHS, satellite, laser disc, beta max, NES, SNES, sega, etc. all come on too. They're handy. I've used one where a couple printers, monitor, a scanner, and a USB hub all are off if the computer is off, but come on when you turn on the computer.hazelwould wrote:Hmm...
