the Cockblocker. Not kidding, didn't come up with the name, yet find it funny & fitting on how it was described (will share in another post). First an image, then more details:



Contacted Anarchy Audio to commission a 2-in-1 fuzz. Don't get me wrong, there's a few already out there that I would LOVE to have (Blackout Twosome immediately comes to mind), yet figured I'd go the custom route if I could partner up & make it happen in time. Liked what I had heard of the AA line, & everything came together really quickly. The latter was important, as I'm hitting the studio really soon.

It was just finished being built yesterday/today, so I can't speak to the sound of it yet. Spec-wise: the left size is based on their Vagiant pedal (think Violet Ram's Head Big Muff), the right side on their Sentinel (think Superfuzz / Ibanez Standard fuzz). Not direct clones, voicings are loosely based from the originals, yet tweaked to taste.

Will def post a video or two after it arrives. I know he now plans to make 5 of them (2 I know of that are spoken for). Please don't take that as spam, I have no vested interest, just a friendly heads up if anyone is interested. Again, I haven't heard it, so the most I can say is that it looks beautiful & was a pleasure to work with on this. A couple more pics:

They're made with kangaroo blood and koala fur to get the proper fuzz sound, so it kinda necessitates an antipodean manufacture location.

^ Yeah, and the circuit boards are fashioned from platypus bills. Sounds brutal with a mic'd up didgeridoo.

Lucky for you guys with the exchange rate heading the way it is, it should be pretty affordable to get your hands on these from Australia.

Hey everyone,

Sorry I haven't been back in touch sooner, life has been getting in the way. I do still plan to do both audio & video sample when I can find enough time to do it the justice it desevers. Don't want to rush it & under-show it's tone(s) & versatility.

For the one guy, I'm in the US and Anarchy Audio is in AUS. The shipping may take a little longer to make its way to the US, but the exchange rate id def in out favor, making the pedals/purchases even more worth it.

I'm absolutely in love with it, esp stacked. It's going to be my main tone on my new album, which I hope to have out end of year/ Q1 of next. This may help speak to my happiness & importance: I'm already in talks with J (the owner) to make me a second one, in fear of something happening when I'm out on the road touring & something happening to it. Being 'my sound', & not able to pick something up at a shop while out on the road, investing in a 2nd unit is basically a no-brainer to me.

The original run he did was only 5, which were gone as soon as they were announced. I hope I'm not speaking out of line, but from my talks with J, I believe the plan is to do another run of 5 (2 of which I know are spoken for). Somewhat unrelated, & FWIW, but he was also cool enough to personalize the LED colors I had asked for. I know that's a small thing in some eyes, but I think it's speaks well for his character & how he treats his customers.

I know for a fact he plans to keep these on a VERY limited basis, maybe another 5-10 run tops. Please don't let my slackness on posting clips keep you from getting one for yourself. I'm a fairly quiet guy & don't tend to put my neck out there, but in this case, I feel very safe saying that you won't be disappointed!
