Greetings, Fuzzheads ! ! !

Gosh, been wanting to start a Tank for ages. Finally, done. I picked up guitar late in life and I immediately started researching pedals and in that research I stumbled upon DIY sites and the fascination begun. Since then I've experimented with a slew of circuits, but, of course, mainly fuzz. Since then and after some decent, great, mediocre, failed builds the fascination hasn't stopped. First it was bmx, then karate and ninjas, then skateboarding and at around the same time new wave leading to punk rock leading to hardcore, then more music ( the bent offsprings of previous genres ), then being in a band, then filmmaking, then a long rut of just life and work. Had a bunch of dough saved up and finally bought a guitar and an amp and some pedals. The guitar was ok, the amp was ok, the pedals were decent but the DIY itch was born and I really thought that it would be amazing to shape your own sound, so it started and won't stop. If it ends I wonder what's next because making guitar pedals is too much fun.

Fellow fiends, here's where I will post small batches of shit I am digging that I would like to share. I've waited to do this but was waiting for the right circuit to fall in my lap and click. Thanks to Holy Schnikes who wanted a Bee Baa. I had made one before and liked it but never loved it. Revisiting the circuit, I changed a few things and love it.

So, for a first release of sorts I've made a tiny batch of fuzzy wonders, the Warthog. It's a slimmer Bee Baa omitting the boost and changing the mid scoop to the one found in the FY2 and the Acetone Fuzzmaster 2. A few other tweaks and done.

I'm gonna finish these hopefully by late Tuesday or Wednesday. Here they are post etch/pre paint:

Backplates. May be a waste of time due to Velcro, but fuck it.

Am I alone in thinking these etches look so stellar that I wouldn't want paint on them?

Yea, lately I've kinda want to not paint some of them. I'm really happy with these with the paint, though. Wish I had a better camera, lately all iPhone pics.

Oh, it does look great with the paint as well, usually I don't even like the bare metal look but your etchings make me think of some old grandmothers cookie can, I love it. :)

I'm going to make myself a new Gristleizer that's just the bare aluminum should look pretty nice. Just need a good clear coat to keep it from oxidizing.
