Anyone else play? Last weekend I got to for the first time in 2 years and it was great.
Any of you Maryland cat want to go out sometime? Playing against my wife with my daughter was fun but... Neither of them were as into it as I am.

I haven't gone out much this year but I enjoy it. The satisfaction of getting a disc to fly exactly how you intended it to, or the echoing of the chains ringing out in the distance...
Feels so good. I'm cheap and only play with one driver and one putter

Yeah I have a couple drivers a mid range and a putter I really only compete with myself so that's all I have ever needed.

Last time I played was up on Haleakala mountain and it was windy as fuck and I hated it. I throw frisbees like an downs kid after 3 bowls of cocoa puffs. The guy I went with threw the disks like an olympian and made me look like a fool.

This has been my experience every time, plus add in the jungle-like humidity. It's still fun though.
I throw frisbees like Carly Rae Jepsen throws baseballs.

Austin rules are you can't play without a jay, so I never got into it. Stupid professional issue with that.

IDK I went all the time when I lived in Austin and I rarely had weed.

I've played off and on for about 20 years now. My main disc homeboys are coming up here on the 2nd and I'm sure we'll hit several courses.

Okay, mild hyperbole. But driving by the park I used to see a hell of a lot of the frolfers conspicuously sparking up. Like any Friday afternoon when the course was packed I'd be sure to see at least one.

The other thing was most of those guys seemed a lot more hardcore about it than I was interested in getting.

Yeah I'm not big in the disc golf scene but the game if fun as hell. For me it's like bowling but you get to be outside in nature. For the most part when I go out I don't really mingle with the others I just watch their form so I can get better for my own sake.

i've played DG pretty seriously for about 5 years now.

i hate pot and have never smoked anything, but yeah that stigma is there. :grumpy:

i play about twice a week, usually local leagues, and play tournaments about once a month. I'm pretty good but my age is creeping up on me... 38 years old and honestly can't throw as far as the young bucks so i'm known as the old fart who can out-putt anyone.

it's fun and decent yet low impact exercise.
