Some one please explain to me how this works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ARpfz9_4ww How big is the floor tom for him to get that bass drum sound? I'm interested in getting a floor tom and a snare to record now. Anyone else know a band with a drummer like this? I can't find any info on this guy or his gear.

Any idea what size floor tom that could be? I'm just in love with this setup, if it works. It's just so simplistic!

probably the best-known stand-up drummers are Mo Tucker from the Velvet Underground and Slim Jim Phantom of the Stray Cats.

Hells yeah, her stand up drumming kills it. It really works for their stripped down sort of sound.
