Calling all doom roomers, fundraiser compilation

For years I have worked booking shows for a small organization called SLO DIY. With a focus of bringing a wide array of heavy leaning music to the area, we have had much troubles keeping the flow steady with the lack of venues around here that support heavy music, the cops that love to shut down house shows and the mountain which can only be done on occasion. A couple of weeks ago we were approved by both the landlords and neighbors to rent a warehouse space which we will be opening for the purpose of a go-to spot for loud and heavy touring bands that will also be all ages. Other purposes for this space will be art installations, community events and workshops, and anything else people come up with that fits the direction of the place. To get this going we need to raise around $1,000 by the end of the month so one of the first fundraising efforts we are putting together is a bandcamp compilation of bands who support this kind of thing and have an interest in maybe coming to town and playing there sometime in the future. Compilation submission cutoff is Sunday, July 7th. If you are anyone you know may like to submit please either send me and message here with a link I can download or email with the file attached to bloodmoonslo@gmail.com. For those without music to submit that still would like to help out, kickstarter will be posted here asap.

I don't have a song to contribute, or money really, but I'm stoked this is happening. Y'all seem to have a good group of folks down there and have a good thing going, particularly for not having a good venue. I think the scene there will do really well if you can keep a good venue open. You're in a really great spot for bands to stop south of the bay.

In any case, it's great to have you on our side. This is pretty much the last piece of the puzzle to keep our scene's health in positive growth and we hope to make it a standard stop for all the stalwart touring dudes out there.

Which brings me to my next point, this venue is happening no matter what, if you or anyone you know is passing through our neck of the woods please put them in touch!

I can't contribute any music(contractual stuff, etc.) but I'm with Parker as far as support and whatnot. Keep us all updated on this. It was really cool when I was there with Druden in April and I'm stoked to hear that y'all are making this next step.
