So, he called me again today. He told me he knows where I live, what I look like etc, and that his friends in northern california are gonna pay me a visit. He told me they were gonna kill me.

So, I'm making a report with the cops, getting a no call order so that if he calls me again, he goes to jail. I made an official report with the FBI about the death threat, and they are taking it seriously.

I called the closest precinct to where he lives and made a report, the detective told me to file a report with my local pd, and depending on what they say, they are probably gonna go knock on his door.

My uncle is a US Marshall (highly decorated) with lots of Marshall buddies. He told me if the local cops don't handle it, he's gonna make some calls.

Also, my stepbrother is a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Engineering division, and he's coming home from Afghanistan this month.

So, I'm worried that his threats are true, because then he would go from Internet tough guy to jailhouse fresh meat.

And if he's reading this: don't call again. Youve crossed the line, and it won't go well for you. I'm not saying this as a chest thumping e-penis comparison tough guy, I'm saying this because I would hate to unleash this kind of fury on someone just because they didn't keep a cool head and their ego in check. The law is on my side, don't push me.

I feel a little bad about this as I made the Hitler vid and was the one giving him crap about cables. I'm ex military and we joke around kinda hard core and pressing peoples buttons is something that NCO's do to kill time. Drill Sergeant school is kinda the master class in that.
So my apologies for contributing to this guy coming unhinged. In my experience he would have eventually anyways but maybe it would not have been on you.
Sounds like you are doing the right thing as far as keeping law enforcement involved. Consider it community service as this may keep him from snapping on some toddler at his local walmart.

it's really stunning that this guy seems so intent on destroying his life over nothing. in prison nobody cares how many Marshall heads you have. i mean, i've dealt with crazy people on forums in the past...at one point some anonymous individual was subscribing me to every magazine on earth because i'd pwned him so badly that he also threatened to come over and beat me up. but i've NEVER seen anything quite like this, even from the acid casualty contingent on the Grateful Dead forum.

by the way, he came back after the band to read the "this needs its own thread" thread, and he was real pissed about it. im assuming a proxy.

if there's a moral to the story, it's: don't give your personal information to ANYBODY on the Internet unless you know you can trust them. the guy was able to subscribe me to those magazines because my response to "i'm going to come over" was "bring it, mofo...here's my address." Walx0r couldn't have harassed Echo if he hadn't gotten Echo's phone number. there's a reason why i keep my Interneting as anonymous as possible, and this is it.
