just got a new rig
but dont wanna scramble next time around
any of you guys have experience
favorites for guitar or bass
cleans/pedals/distortion
i love me some pictures too
outright negativity is fine
havent seen many in your arsenals
before i was in the market for a new amp
this kid had one on craigslist
im pretty sure it was a super guitar 2000
he had blacked out some of the letters
so it said FART instead of earth
it was real cheap and listed forever
gone now but wished i had snagged it

Made in NY, you should be able to find some... They always reminded me of Peavey Clonezzz and usually people that have them also have Peavey so maybe they sound similar??? They made some Fenderish looking combos if I remember but I've always just seen the Heads and the Verb Units... There is one here on CL that I could probably get if I had $$$...

This one's going for a little more than usual, but if it's in great condition, it's worth it:

I've got a Plush, which is basically the same thing as Earth. I think they can sound great.

Earth sound research was a company that started out buy buying the remnants of Plush. Their first amps were plush amps that were completed by earth. The super guitar G2000 and the bass version are clones of the Fender AB763 circuit. I have two of these heads. the first one I purchased in non working condition and got it running and loved it enough to acquire a second as a backup. they are hand wired point to point amps with a TON of volume. mostly clean till you get into ridiculous hearing damage territory.
These are sleeper amps and although I would say they should be worth more, I would not pay more than $300 for one because thats what they seem to go for. Great amps that may require some tlc when you get them as they are quite old. so really the same as any other vintage amps.

the guts-

here's the blue one with a semi matching kustom kab-

they also made some tube PA amps that are basically the same thing with more inputs.
Later earth decided to stop stealing from fender and start stealing from peavy. These were not so great amps and one model in particular was apparently prone to catching fire. Predictably this meant the end of the company.
If you can find an example of the early 2000 series all tube amps they made, GET IT. You may need to know your way around an amp or have access to a decent tech to get it up to speed but its well worth it.
One last thing. the wiring inside my two amps is very different. they are the same circuit just it seems that different guys assembled them their own way. The blue one is very tidy and needed nothing but some tubes when i got it. The black one is kinda a functional mess and needed a recap which isn't unreasonable for an amp of its age, but the soldering was not as nice, the wiring was a bit sloppier and it doesn't look as "neat" I do prefer the sound of the black one as it is slightly warmer. Both sound great though!

That's hilarious.
I've got a "matching" black Kustom cab for my Plush head.

Yeah, 2x15, sounds fantastic. Loves pedals. I used to play it in my apartment and I couldn't really turn up past 4.

not even a full page
and almost every question in my head
was totally answered
i was gonna start a thread where
we could just randomly pick amp companys to talk about
i figured that happens in the doom room enough
i could just keep changing the name of the thread
depending on what we start talkin bout next
so does earth and plush
have anythink to do with old kustom stuff
or is the cushion the only connection
i did see an earth PA go for cheap on ebay
i think it was one of them " untested" jobbers

As AxAxSxS said, quality was exactly consistent throughout the company's history, but I think the unplush ones generally aren't regarded as being as good.
They should probably being going for less.
(Kustom is definitely worthy of its own conversation.)
