He was kindof a coattail riding douchebag and its clear that he contributed to Jims deterioration.....but still the man could slang a nasty organ. Try and top not to touch the earth... We would have nowhere near the same understanding of psych without ray manzarek.....

a very talented man, and the glue that held the Doors together. it must have been tough having your entire adult life defined by those three years in the spotlight, but Ray did it with intelligence and charm and helped bands like X get a leg up. may he rest in peace.
