So whats the difference between weed and beer? Neither of them are "edgy" or "cool" but people put them on pedals / gear / forumnames all the time, who cares. People are allowed to enjoy what they want and custom order what ever they want. Free country man.

Drunk audience members I've also seen more then a few pedals with custom artwork that have something to do with drinking. Like I've seen a PBR graphic pedal, one with the Mucha Absinthe painting, a jagermeister graphic, and a few others.

I agree with both sides here. On the one hand, custom orders can be anything. If someone asked me to etch a weed leaf or a dude doing blow on a pedal, I'd fuckin do it and not even think twice about.

On the other hand, I see how it's kind of childish in a way. Yeah for the guy that's so proud of his weed smoking! Nobody cares though. Seriously.

Absolutely not! That exact pedal is actually what lead me to this forum, I was looking up the painting and found the pedal so I followed it to fuzzhuggers site then discovered the forum. And then I posted a WTB Verellen Big Spider thread in the BST I just wanted to point out that numerous types of intoxicants are used in graphic designs that end up being put on guitar gear. I just feel its pointless to say that any single one of them is "uncool" or "played out" and we need to stop putting them on guitar gear. Think about it, the percentage of musicians who smoke pot has got to be well above the average percentage of bankers or business men that do. So if a large portion of the musician population inbibes in it and enjoys the subculture associated with it then why tell them not to? If your personally tired of seeing it, cool I totally understand that but thats no reason to trash those that do enjoy it.
