Yeah, my dad got hit with this a while back. Took him forever to unroot his pc.

Luckily, I'm only dealing with a failing hard drive.

It's fucking lame how many viruses I've had to remove over the last couple years or so that look like either something official, or like something that's actually part of windows. I got skeptical when I saw that the Dept. of Justice supposedly wanted me to go to 7-eleven and load a pre-pay card to pay them..... I've torrented my share of stuff, so I was a little freaked at first.

Took me forever to get rid of that on my PC.

There was also one last year that when you logged into your bank statement, it asked for your ATM card # and pin # for “added security”.
Freaked out my bank when I showed it to them.
They sent an email out advising customers not to put any of that info in.
Spyware blaster took care of that one.

I got this same virus on my laptop. I was nekked and ready for porn when the webcam thing came up and freaked me the fuck out. Then I saw the moneypak thing. I still havent gotten rid of it.
