twin peaks questions, no spoilers please

I just started season 2.
season one was great, I really dug the narrative and the progression.
season 2 is...idk, where season one felt more about the story and how to progress it culminating in the last two episodes, season 2 seems more about building tension, being creepy ish and LOTS of pseudo foreshadowing type things. A lot of "we inserted this to have this meaning and inspire this feeling, but we wont tell you if it actually has anything to do with anything"
I guess my question is, I don't know how to phrase this better, does twin peaks get scary? does it lose it's sense of story and replace it with tension and built up creepiness?

Beginning of season 2 is worthwhile. Middle of season 2 is useless. Last couple episodes of season 2 are cool, especially the very last episode.

I made it up to the middle of season 2 and got really bored. I never finished watching it. I might do that this summer now that I know it won't just suck from here on out.

This.
Be on the lookout for David Duchovney in his best role ever! And make sure you watch the movie after you finish the series. It's really really good.

I stopped watching it middle of season 2.
I'm not sure I've ever stopped watching a show mid-season that I already had the entire run of downloaded.
So to answer your question, "does it get better?" no, no it really doesn't. If you like unresolved suspense that is done in a vaguely interesting way sometimes, stop watching now.
If you like shitty, poorly done, ill-committed soap operas, with the occasional surreal element that is made 2/43's of the whole thing in a way that lacks any tact at all, keep watching.

If you haven't finished the series how can you say it was left unresolved? They wrapped everything up in the final episodes, and the ideas in the final episodes are explored further in Fire, Walk With Me.
The series was broadly about a struggle between good and evil. The town of Twin Peaks was a stage for players in a much larger cosmic/spiritual theater. The final episode demonstrates the cyclical nature of the fight and showed how evil won over good in this case. In Fire Walk With Me they show the events that lead to Laura Palmer's death. In telling these events the cyclical and spiritual/mystical nature of the struggle is fairly blatant

The ending of the season is so damn good and to me, it was even pretty terrifying
I didn'T like the movie though... well i DID like the movie for the first few minutes but then he Lynched it and i lost all the interest... and i love Lynch! But the rest of the movie just wasn'T doing it to me... i wished we stayed with the agents

Like most have said, middle of Season 2 really loses it's way but the last couple of episodes are great. If I recall correctly, David Lynch had little involvement with S2 apart from the episodes at the beginning and the end.
The film is great but has an entirely different vibe to the tv show, somewhat symbolised by the smashing of a tv screen in the opening scene. Sooo much darker!!! And has boobies.
