Just built up a baritone esquire telecaster (I should probably post a build thread...) and my main "normal" range guitar is an SG with p90s, so now I just have this stripped down SX tele sitting off to the side. What would ILF do? It is routed for a single coil in the bridge and a p90 soapbar in the neck. Right now, I have a GFS mini humbucker in the neck with nothing in the bridge. I tried piezos but wasn't into the sound. I basically want the thing to be a noise/feedback/fuzz machine. What are some crazy, awful, sputtering, plain nasty pickups I can put in it? Anything else fun I can do?

Short scale conversion neck -> 6 string tenor tuned to fifths? Gonna try CGDAEB on one of my shorties now!

UPDATE : Tried this and broke my high E string trying to tune it up to B (like a jackass.) Played the remaining 5 strings tuned to fifths and it was really fun and easy to riff on. Then I read up on New Standard Tuning (C-G-D-A-E-G) and discovered that folks tune the high E to a G instead of B to play in fifths on a six stringer. Gonna try that on for size here soon.

get some weird PUs off eBay...Teiscos, Hofners, Framus, or something of that nature.

Expensive, but put a Fernandes Sustainer pickup in it.
