Tortoise Shell Glasses - Are they for da Hipstos?

I really like tortoise shell. have since I was a kid and the love has only grown since I started getting into guitars. My dad used to have this pair of tortoise shell sunglasses when I was younger and I always thought they were cool. Unfortunately they met a watery grave at the end of a jetty during a fishing trip
.
Anyways I was wondering if tort was like a hipster thing now? I already wear kind of large ray ban-like rounded glasses, I have for years and I find it handy to have big lenses and I want to get that style again. I was looking around after my frame finally broke recently and was like "Oh cool, tort is something I could do" but something tells me that I would look a bit silly? I'm pretty much a jeans and black t-shirt kind of guy. Don't necessarily dislike stuff that is considered "hipster" just thinking I might be a bit out of place and out of my depth fashion wise.
What says you to inane thread interwebs?

I deff dont have hipster style glasses...but they are tort and raybans. I get alot of compliments. I generally stay away from anything thats trending fashionwise. And those in the pic i would say are very hip. Very.
Do you like them? Do they pop off your face(like do they deff draw attention) or do they look naturally fitting?
And fuck the hipsters. They all look the same to me... like black dudes in tall tees and new era hats...or white dudes with sleeve tattoos and beards. Lol@studded jean vests and mohawks. How are we supposed to tell people apart anymore?!

My glasses only have one arm at the moment and every time I lean over they fall off my face. I dropped them into my bread maker the other day when I was trying to make pizza dough, it was all sticky.

Yeah, I just photoshop'd some of the frames I was looking at onto my face and I should definitely be going with a slight more squared frame, I don't think the thinner underside of the frame works with my face either. A store I was looking at had these:
I stayed away from Ray Bans the last time I chose frames because they were a bit pricey but now that I have proper insurance I think I want em'. Also, see-through green. On mah face.

lol I get angry when im drunk. I got nothing against any hipster or scenester. Or neckbeards or wankstas.
Those squared ones look more my style except mine have slim arms and dont have the chrome peices. same see-thru green and tort. And ive been there, one arm on the glasses. Sucks. I dont like glasses, contacts, and I dont want the surgery. Glasses are just the easiest to deal with. Fuck, I once lost my glasses tubing on a river, and I wore a single contact in my right eye (all my friend could find) that wasnt my script for a 2 weeks just so I could kinda see.

These are clubmasters, I have them.
I'm really fucking pissed that they became a hip thing. I live one stop away on the L train from williamsburg (hipster mecca) and these glasses became a big thing about half a year after I started wearing them. I would get on the train and all the hip fucks would have them on IN the train.
It's nt even an 'I started it first thing' I just can't fuckin wear them anymore without people thinking I'm a hipster.
