Good guitar shops in LA / Beverly Hills?

A friend has to take a work trip out to LA, like, right now, and he asked if I know of any guitar/gear shops around Beverly Hills (

). I'm guessing that any out there will be crazy pricey, but he's always down for a little window shopping. Anybody got any suggestions?

True Tone over by Long Beach is one of the best medium-sized stores i've been to in the US, one of those places where everything is set up PERFECTLY, even the banjos in the isolation room upstairs. a must. Norman's Rare Guitars is legendary as the shop that provided Nigel's guitar collection in Spinal Tap. see the Sidewalk of Fame at the Guitar Center in Hollywood, and put your hands in the impressions of everyone from Lemmy to Scotty Moore. and if you get out that way, McCabe's is an equally legendary acoustic shop.

True Tone is actually in downtown Santa Monica, there is a lot of good stuff but I feel they are very snobbish.
I'd hit up Timewarp Music in Mar Vista area. Lots of random things floating around and always something fun to look at or play with. My #1 recommended west side spot!
