Hey All,
Me and my Wife are leaving for our first visit to the West Coast of US (countdown has begun…7 days to go!)
Wife has planned the whole trip…im basically the tag along…and our iternary is something like

Honolulu (already been for our honeymoon) -> San Francisco -> Las Vegas, Grand Canyon -> Disneyland -> San Diego and Maui (missed this island on last trip, done big island )

Recommend any places to eat? Shows at vegas? Rides at Disneyland? Tips etc? guitar/music stores (amoeba records is on the agenda)
Can’t wait to consume all your food!!!

And its only a short 3 and a half week holiday, original plan was a longer one but I couldn’t save enough/wife hasn’t got a full time job so wever decided to split the trip into 2…
Plan is to head back and do LA and East coast next year…

I live on maui. There's cool waterfalls on the road to Hana, especially in the bamboo forest. At the end of the bamboo hike, there's a pool of water and a waterfall at the end. Drop into the water and climb the waterfall(easy, as long as you can swim) and beyond that is the most amazing waterfall. At the end of Hana is a good food bus. But Hana as a town is boring as fuck. Beyond Hana are the sacred pools which is neat but visitors have to pay. Lahaina is nightlife, kehei is where the locals party. Paia is where the hippies gather. Kahului has the Walmart. Iao valley is nice. There's a trail back there if you can find it. I think the whales are around this time of year. ad if you rent from dollar/thrifty, tell them to hook you up with a jeep for $15 dollars more a day. theyll try to get you for more, but you can get it. i used to work there. Pretty much, maui is for sightseeing. There's not much here. Beautiful and relaxing, but boring as fuck(speaking as a resident).

Ill list more things to do when I think of them. Or if you got questions ask away.

San Francisco and San Diego are soooooooo nice. My family went on vacation a few years ago and we spent a week driving from San Fran down to San Dan and everywhere in between. I loved those two and everywhere else we visited was just okay in comparison. But still fun!

hard to go wrong with food in the SF yarea. all of the bay is delicious.

um. there's a small store called RobotSpeak if you want to play with synthy stuff, over in Berkeley is Starving Musician, they have loads of pedals, a lot of more boutiquey stuff like Dwarfcraft and Wren And Cuff and DBA and Catalinbread. they do used sales so sometimes there's weird guitar or basses there too.

i  Starving Musician. when i was still in the Bay Area i was such a habitué of the Santa Cruz location that on one visit i semi-seriously said "you know, we've done so much business over the last few years that you should just GIVE me a t-shirt" AND THEY DID.

I HIGHLY recommend hitting up Amato's Cheesesteaks in San Jose while in the Bay Area if you can. That place is the bomb, son

In N Out burger, too...but those are easy to located all over down there.

While in SF check out the mission district. Such a beautiful area of town, and delicious Mexican food is in every corner.

So I told my wife your trip plans and asked if there was anything we should tell you. She said "have fun and I'm jealous." :D
For maui, get loco mocho for breakfast. So good.
