Inspired by The Video Game Thread...I'm dedicating this thread to 20th century gaming.
Not limited to, but focusing on games made for consoles and platforms introduced in the 1900s.
I'm just going to leave this here

The game that changed everything.
Edit: Currently playing the CE Rainbow hack rom

Everytime I play 2d fighters I'm brought back to the boardwalk or local Blimpie.
Mostly the latter...
Crowd of at least a half dozen...until the azns show.
Row of quarters up.
Cigarettes burning in ashtrays.
Dudes getting heated and hurt feelings, storming off mad to stuff their face and the shame of being perfect ko'd.
Man....good times.

I really didn't play much of the 2d fighters, except for a little Double Dragon when I was at the arcade and bored. And the bowling alley near my house had Bad Dudes, which was cool. TMNT was the only other one I ever played.
But on a related note, I just downloaded the original Final Fantasy on my iPhone and I'm about 4 hours in. I fucking love that game.

^Whoa I never knew that was available for SNES. I only remember playing it on school computers.
Last weekend I FINALLY beat Startropics. I was able to get to Zoda as a kid but never could beat him.
The play control is almost the level of rage that is Conker's Bad Fur Day. But man, good times...
This song has been stuck in my head all week:

I have an n64 with a slowly growing list of games for it. My landlord also has a 3DO somewhere in the basement that I can use if I can find the damn thing. I found a stack of games, including the original Need for Speed, but I can't find the damn console.

This is a passionate subject for me. I grew up right before the console boom and after my first taste have loved video games in every shape a forum. Not even like 10 minuets ago I was searching online for an original Joust machine that I want to buy for my home =D.
Just listing my favorites for now.
PC
Ultima Online
Everquest
Day of the Tentacle
Comander Keen
Space Ace / Dragon's Lair
Artillery ( played on our old Mac LLC)
Word Munchers
The Dig
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (Loved the TV show)
Arcade Cabinet
Almost every Williams/Atari game. My personal favorites are Crystal Castles, Qbert, Ghouls and Ghosts, and Willow
Neo Geo - Metal Slug, King of Fighters 94', Bust a Move!
TNMT - Turtles in Time
Mortal Kombat
Bubble Bobble
Nintendo.
Mario
Zelda
Wizards and Warriors
Master Blaster
Metroid
Star Fox 64
Golden Eye 64

Golden Boy in Monster World (master system)
Jesus I could go on forever
Other random games that I can remember Splatter House (TGFX 16), Ladybug (Kelikovishion).

Really excited for the Remake
Right as I posted my list I thought of 10 more games I wanted too add too it
Earthworm Jim was a game that needs its own category. I loved everything about it but never fully completed it. Just adding to the list of a 100 games I need to complete.
